Judes put up a good performance in defeat away to Cuala on Sunday morning. Playing into a gale an early point from Shane Gaynor settled the team. Cuala got 3 points and Judes replied with a point from Al Mooney. Cuala then converted a penalty to leave four points between the teams. Judes responded with a Brian Malee penalty and there were three between sides at half time. Judes turned around but the wind advantage died during half time and Cuala kicked three early points to leave Judes six in arrears. Judes stood up and responded well by the evergreen Mick Fallon at full forward who scored a great point followed up by an Al Mooney goal and a Brian Malee point. After being switched to half back John Malee tore into the game and drove Judes forward. Points from Colm Birmingham and Brian Malee kept Judes in touch as they fought for an elusive third goal. All eyes turn to the first round of the league next Sunday morning 11am in Tymon. All support needed for the clubs first adult league football game of 2009
