CLG Naomh Jude - Academy

St Judes GAA Club Academy for boys and girls aged 4-7 years - Football, Hurling and Camogie.

Saturday mornings - 10am: Hurling/Camogie, 11am: Football

  • The St. Judes Academy operates every Saturday morning on the all-weather pitch in Tymon Park and is free of charge to all children.
  • Children are divided into groups by year of birth. Signs are up on the fence each week to help you find your group.
  • The youngest groups are mixed, boys and girls, for both the hurling/camogie and football sessions.
  • The eldest group is split into separate sub-groups for hurling/camogie with a mixed sub-group for football.
  • Parents are asked to ensure that their children are togged out in sports gear for the sessions and to bring a drink (juice or water).
  • For hurling/camogie sessions it is compulsory that all children wear helmets and have their own hurleys.
  • We have a limited number of helmets and hurleys available for new entrants to borrow for trial purposes.
  • New helmets can be purchased from the club shop which opens Thursdays from 7:30-9:30pm and on Saturdays from 10:30am-12.

Please Participate.

Parents and guardians of the children are fundamental to the successful running of the Academy.  Each year we invite parents to volunteer to become coaches/helpers in the Academy.

No previous experience is required as the club provides resources, training courses and support through its GPO (Games Promotions Officer), CiarĂ¡n Farrelly, to any parents who choose to get involved.
