Naomh Jude - Club Notaí
June 07, 2016
Well done to Joe and Ger McManus and the Mayo hurlers on a fantastic Nicky Rackard win against Armagh in a fiercely contested close final on Saturday. In a game that ebbed and flowed it was the Mayo team that finished the stronger and showed the required composure. The two lads played instrumental roles in the teams win and can consider all those hours of commuting well worth it.
Fair play to everyone who
was in Croker to cheer the lads on, there was a massive cheer from the Judes
contingent when the two boys lifted the cup. Among the supporters were the
three ejits pictured above as well as Caoimhe Bermingham and Marion O'Donnell.
Well done to Kev Mc and
Dublin who showed Dublin are just as strong a unit outside the over familiar
walls of Croke Park by disposing of Laois in Nolan Park on Saturday.
We certainly enjoyed the novelty of it all and I for one look forward to 10
years time when they are asked to travel away for a championship game once
more.
Congratulations to David
Carroll and Ruth Kenneally who got married over the weekend, if the pictures
are anything to go by it looked like a fantastic weekend for all involved
2004 (u12) Boys - Glasgow 2016
The u12 Boys after their
Football Blitz in Glasgow, Sunday where they played Edinburgh, Coatbridge,
Glasgow Gaels and Tir Conaill Harps. The day was rounded off with games against
Scotland A and B selections. The boys did St Judes (and Ireland!) proud. Many
thanks to our host Christina Duffy (standing in the middle) from Tir Chonaill
Harps who ran an amazing day for them to experience.
The lads also took on a Scottish team in a compromised game of Shinty/Hurling
Well done to all involved, it looked like a great weekend away for the lads.
Mens Shed List
The mens shed are compiling
a list of tradesmen who are tried and trusted and come with a recommendation
from a member ...if there is any club member who would like to be included on
the list can they send an email to pro@stjudesgaa.ie
...the whole idea behind the move is that people will know who is coming into
their house or working around it as opposed to looking up the yellow pages and
taking pot luck.
