Condolences
June 08, 2020
All at St Judes GAA would like to offer our sincere condolences to Anna, and all the O'Connell family, on the death of Ailbe.
Ailbe's friends here in St Judes GAA were very sad to hear of his passing, but we are left with many fond memories of a great friend. Ailbe was deeply involved in every part of the Club. Even though Tipp, and Emly, were deep in him, he always seemed very at home with us. He loved being involved in the Judes' Sevens, and the Golf Society - where his name is immortalised in a special Trophy. There are so many lovely stories from the Bar, and how he always gave generously of his time and energy to Club fundraisers. He has left a big hole here, and will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. A real character, and a true gentleman, loved by so many friends here.
The death has occurred of Ailbe O'Connell, Ballyroan, Dublin / Emly, Tipperary
(Pre-deceased by his loving daughter Ailbhe) Beloved husband of Anna and adored father of Gareth, Mary-Kate and Patrick. Ailbe will be sadly missed by his loving family, his son-in-law Gerard, daughter-in-law Adrienne, Geraldine, his grandchildren Paul, Jovian, Rory, Mia and Dáire, his sister Mary-Anthony, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Rest in Peace
