Naomh Judes - Uasdátú an Aoine
Naomh Judes - Uasdátú an Aoine
February 13, 2015
Strictly Naomh Jude has gone viral this week with the video of dancers Eoin Walsh and Laura Hannon attempting the dirty dancing lift and we'll say not executing it to perfection. (refer to Facebook page if you haven't seen it yet). The video has reached well over 50,000 people between Facebook, Twitter and the coverage of it by joe.ie, her.ie the mirror etc.
Fair play to Laura and Eoin for being great sports and they assure me the blip was a one off and they have perfected the lift since.
Either way their will be big anticipation of Dirty Dancing come the 6th of March!
All the dancers have dolled
themselves up for their program pictures and they all look the part (hopefully
their dancing will be as impressive). Click on this link below to check them
out.

ESB and Naomh Jude
ESB the Official Energy Partner to the GAA, has teamed up with St. Judes
and Dublin hurler Danny Sutcliffe, Facilities Manager Declan Feore, Naomh
Mearnog & Dublin Footballer Shane Carthy and club Treasurer Donal Walters
to reveal the results of the ESB âEnergyFitâ programme in
association
with FutureFit. St. Judeâs and Naomh Mearnog, two
of the participants, are projected to save almost â¬20,000 between them in Year
1, with continuing projected long-term savings which can be reinvested in the
clubâs development.
Having already installed a solar thermal array, St.
Judeâs GAA is well aware of the benefits of energy efficiency. Championed by
founding member and current Facilities Manager Declan Feore, the club worked
tirelessly alongside ESB and FutureFit to raise funding for new LED lighting.
Replacing the lights alone is projected to save the club â¬7,826 annually.
Throughout 2014, ESB worked in conjunction with
FutureFit, the Irish energy efficiency company, to refine the programme. Along
with the SEAI and GAA, ESB also provided funding to each club that successfully
completed the BEC process. The programme is estimated to have delivered an
average saving of â¬9,026 per annum to each of the participating GAA clubs.
Paddy Hayes, Executive Director of Generation and
Wholesale Markets at ESB remarked âAs Irelandâs premier electricity utility, we
are delighted to be a part of this pioneering energy efficiency programme
within the sports industry. ESB prides itself on driving innovation in the
energy sector and enhancing the communities in which we work, so our goal was
to provide the participating GAA clubs with the latest tools and resources to
generate real energy savings which in turn can be reinvested in club
development. GAA clubs are the heart of so many Irish communities and we look
forward to continuing our work with them over the coming months.â
14 GAA clubs from around the country are currently
on track to complete the EnergyFit process in 2015. Separated into two key
areas; EnergyFit and RetroFit, the programme delivers tangible return on
investment through behavioural education!
Over 200 members signed up to the St Judes Playing
Facilities Development Plan
We are delighted to
announce that over 200 members are now signed up to the St Judes Playing
Facilities Development Plan. This means we have reached the 50% mark of our
overall target. It is fantastic to see such a positive response to the Playing
Facilities Plan and the Club would like to thank all those who have signed up
to date.
We need to keep this
great momentum going and would ask members who plan to contribute towards the
development plan to complete their registration forms as early as possible. The
sooner we reach our target of 400, the sooner we can begin to make our playing
facilities one of the best in Ireland.
If you plan to
subscribe by way of standing order, the simplest way is to set it up online
with your Bank (this usually avoids any fees imposed by some banks for manual
standing order set ups). The clubâs bank account details are on the
standing order form in the registration pack.
The Clubâs bank account details are as follows; St Judes GAA Club / Development
Account; BIC AIBKIE2D; IBAN IE64AIBK93107138324232. â Please
remember to insert your name as the âreceiver referenceâ so that we can
identify the donations you have made.
